![]() ![]() ![]() She ruined it and that's perhaps why I'm so pissed off right now. But the author just ruined the romance for me. How could she, knowing Nikolai the way she does, EVER believe that he would cheat on her? That plot point and all its resulting angst was not just bizarre but immensely aggravating. And she never owns that or takes responsibility for her part in it. Here, she's insecure and weak, which is the major source of conflict in her marriage. In the first book she was strong and assured. I won't go into my whole rant (I already did that verbally to a friend) but I will say that I'm thoroughly disgusted and mad as hell about the complete change in Vivian's personality. ![]() At least then I would get the satisfaction of ripping the book to shreds and burning the pieces. Review 1: It's times like these that I wish I were reading a physical book. ![]()
